Strategic planningfeedback invited

Comments are welcome on draft versions of WSU’s updated vision statement, mission statement, values and goals.

Larry James, associate executive vice president in the office of the provost and chair of the strategic planning group, said the drafts and a form to provide feedback are posted at  http://strategicplan.wsu.edu

“We need feedback on the vision, mission and goals before developing the strategic initiatives to get us there,” James said.

Public comment was invited early in the process, while the strategic planning group was first formulating the updated plan, James said. But now that the working group has reached consensus on revised vision, mission, value and goal statements, it is again soliciting comments.

Once the first four components are updated, the strategic planning group will begin mapping out the strategic initiatives that will help the university reach its goals and embody its vision.

The final phase of the planning will be to create a set of benchmarks to help evaluate progress.
