Tri-Cities art opening reception Jan. 9

More than 40 works of art by 17 regional artists are on display in the Chancellor’s Exhibition Series at WSU Tri-Cities.

The opening reception is 5-6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, in the East Building 224.

This is a semi-annual juried exhibition series designed to showcase the remarkable art of the Columbia Valley. Chancellor Vicky L. Carwein will present a special award to one of the artists at the reception.

The 41 paintings and sculptures will be on display through June 27 in the administration corridor. The East Building is open to the public 7 a.m.-10 p.m. weekdays and 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturdays.
