RICHLAND, Wash. Poets Amalio Madueño and Paul Everett Nelson will perform with jazz saxophonist Dan Blunck at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 9 in Washington State University Tri-Cities East Building Auditorium, 2710 University Drive, Richland Admission is free and open to the public.

Everett Nelson is founder of the nonprofit Global Voices Radio and co-founder of the Northwest SPokenword LAB (SPLAB!). A professional broadcaster since 1980, he performs poetry and conducts poetry workshops throughout the
Saxophonist Blunck performs with Nelson in a poetry/music collaboration called WordPlay. Known for his improvisations, Blunck has recorded several albums including the Jazz Nouveau CD “Check This Out.” During his 30-year career, he has performed throughout the world with the likes of Dizzy Gillespie, Mel Torme, and The Temptations.
The Nov. 9 poetry events are part of the WSU Tri-Cities Fall 2007 Liberal Arts Season.
