Science writers tour campus

Around 100 members of the National Association of Science Writers got a taste of WSU Friday during an afternoon visit to campus. 

The event, organized by Washington State Magazine Editor Tim Steury, was an excursion for NASW members from Spokane where the association is hosting its annual conference.

The tour included a visit to the bear lab along with a variety of lectures showcasing current WSU research.  The event concluded with guests gathering at the Ensminger building to sample local cheeses and wines.  

NASW began hosting writing workshops in1995.  Members come from a variety of writing backgrounds, including freelance, major media outlets and university positions.
