Meeting considers budget request

PULLMAN – The Board of Regents of WSU will hold a special meeting at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, in Room 442 of the French Administration Building to consider approval of its supplemental budget request to the 2008 Legislature.
 
Regents will participate in the meeting by teleconference.
 
The request includes funding to make technical corrections in the 2007-2009 biennial budget approved by the Legislature, as well as funding for increased enrollment at WSU Tri-Cities, for research in global animal health and agriculture, for campus safety initiatives, for faculty and staff salary increases and other issues. 
 
Also included in the request is money for the design of a new veterinary medical research building on the Pullman campus.
