SPOKANE, Wash.Today, as part of Washington Health Day, Washington State University faculty, staff, students and alumni will be logging miles in the Governor’s Health Bowl all over Spokane.
At 2 p.m. WSU’s cougar mascot, Butch, will lead the way from Riverpoint Campus to the Clock Tower at Riverfront Park as the Cougars help kick off the Governor’s Health Bowl.

All participants are encouraged to wear their favorite Cougar wear and join the group at 2 p.m. (walkers/runners) or 2:30 p.m. (cyclists). Parking fees on the Riverpoint Campus will be waived from 2-5:30 p.m. (Please be advised that metered parking will still be monitored. Be sure to park in one of the Green, Yellow, or Red parking lots on campus. Click the Campus Map link for locations.)
WSU students in Pharmacy and Exercise Physiology & Metabolism and Nursing will be providing free cholesterol and glucose screenings, blood pressure checks and BMI profiles at the park.
