WSU president to visit Tri-Cities campus

RICHLAND —  Washington State University President Elson S. Floyd is making his first official visit to the Richland campus on Friday, Aug. 31.

WSU Tri-Cities faculty, staff and students are invited to meet President Floyd between 1:45 and 2:30 p.m. Friday in the West Building Atrium, 2710 University Drive, Richland.

President Floyd and WSU Tri-Cities Chancellor Vicky L. Carwein will make brief remarks at 1:50 p.m., followed by an informal social time that will allow for personal interaction. Root beer floats will be served.

Floyd, 51, was named president of the four-campus Washington State University in December 2006. He took office as the 10th president of Washington state’s land-grant research university on May 21, 2007.
