New WSU Students Will Say WOW Aug. 15-22

PULLMAN, Wash.—Washington State University will welcome new students and their parents during the Week of Welcome (WOW) Aug. 15-22.  

Several activities are planned for the week including games, food, music and career advice. WOW will start at 6 p.m. Aug. 15 with “Bash in the Grass,” an evening full of live music, outdoor movies, games and free food, at the Mooberry Track and Field.  

Other activities during the week include “Right on the Money,” a program to help students manage their money during the school months; a campus scavenger hunt; a bingo game; a Halo II tournament, the University Convocation and All-Campus picnic; a community service project along the river walk; the WSU Price is Right; and WSU Campus Monopoly. 

Residence halls will open at 10 a.m. Aug. 12. Classes will begin Aug. 20.
