Director of development named for WSU Graduate School

Judith M. Minton has accepted the position of director of development for Washington State University’s Graduate School. 

Minton will be the first person to hold this role for WSU which signifies the strategic importance of graduate education at WSU. Her office will be based at WSU West in downtown Seattle and will play a central role in foundation activities in Seattle, while focusing on fund raising for the Graduate School and cultivating specific organizations, such as ARCS (Achievement Rewards for College Scientists).

The ARCS Foundation provides scholarships to outstanding U.S. citizens pursuing the Ph.D. degree in science, medicine and engineering.

Minton’s professional career as a business owner, public speaker, trainer and development officer spans 30 years, including service to clients and donors. Her work experience includes serving as major gift officer for the Children’s Health Team, manager of development for the Department of Radiation Oncology, and development officer for the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Michigan Medical School.

She lives in Bothell, Washington, with her husband, who works as a purchasing manager for SNC-Lavalin.
