“Higher Education” Topic of Cable Program

RICHLAND, Wash. —  Richland’s CityView, cable channel 13, will discuss the future of higher education in the Tri-Cities at its next edition of “Talk Back Richland,” a live viewer call-in and audience participation program, at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 30.

The program will feature Richland City Council Member Ed Revell, Washington State University Tri-Cities Chancellor Vicky L. Carwein and Columbia Basin College Acting President Rich Cummins. The panel will field phone-in or e-mail questions from viewers and answer questions from a studio audience.

Topics of discussion will include plans for WSU-Tri-Cities’ transition to a four-year university, Richland approach to increased demands for city services, plans for CBC’s older campus next to the Richland Public Library and Richland’s preparations to become a college community.

“Talk Back Richland” is scheduled at 7 p.m. at Richland City Hall. Audience members are encouraged to arrive by 6:45 p.m. The hour-long program will air on CityView, cable channel 13 in Richland and Kennewick cable channel 12.
