Stadium construction to impact traffic

Beginning this week, the contractor on the Martin Stadium Renovation Project will begin delivering large concrete components, causing some traffic delays.

The material will be delivered to the stadium site by several 40 foot tractor trailer rigs.

Traffic on Stadium Way will be impacted as delivery vehicles negotiate their way into the project site. The traffic interruptions will occur from North Fairway to Johnson Road as trucks will be accessing Stadium Way from North Fairway and traveling south to the project site entrance near the south end of Mooberry Track.

Flaggers will be positioned to control traffic and assist pedestrians. All attempts will be made to minimize any traffic delay. Delays are expected to be no more than a few minutes at a time as trucks enter the project site.

Delivery traffic will be heaviest on Monday, April 30 and should be complete by end of business Tuesday, May 1.

The contractor will not deliver during peak hours of 7:30 A.M. to 8:30 P.M., 11:30 to 1:00 P.M. and after 4:00 P.M. in an attempt to mitigate traffic congestion at those critical times.
