Two Suspects Arrested for Widespread Graffiti on Campus

PULLMAN, Wash. – Two suspects were arrested by WSU Police and charged with malicious mischief  Wednesday afternoon after about two dozen Pullman campus buildings were marked with black spray-paint graffiti late Tuesday night.

The damage was discovered early Wednesday and is being cleaned up by facilities operations.

WSU Police Chief Steve Hansen said the markings were found on buildings all over campus. He said the suspects, who are 18 and 17, would probably be arraigned Thursday.

“It is important for people to know that we take this sort of thing seriously. We’re proud of the appearance of our campus and this is costly and time-consuming for university employees to clean up,” Hansen said.
