Museum of Art Offers Free WSU Mom’s Weekend Events

PULLMAN, Wash. – The Washington State University Museum of Art announces their schedule of events for WSU Mom’s Weekend 2007. All events are free and open to the public.

Long-time Museum of Art/WSU docent, H. Clare Wiser will lead a public art tour of the WSU campus Friday, April 13 at 11 a.m. The tour will meet on the WSU Fine Arts Center plaza outside the Museum of Art. This will be an opportunity to view a number of sculptures placed around campus with Wiser, a WSU emeritus professor of mathematics, explaining the history and relevance of each work.

The Museum of Art in collaboration with the WSU Fine Arts department will exhibit the Master of Fine Arts Thesis Exhibition, April 13 – May 5. There will be a public reception Friday, April 13 at 6 p.m.

During the reception of the MFA Thesis Exhibition, the Friends of the Museum of Art will hold a book and poster sale. The sale will feature 30-years of exhibit catalogues and publications at discount prices, as well as all new trade books and posters produced since 2004 at museum membership prices. There will be a second book and poster sale 10 a.m.–2 p.m. Saturday, April 14 in the Museum of Art.

The Museum of Art is located on Wilson Road across from Martin Stadium in the Fine Arts Center on the WSU campus.
