Commuter bus service agreement in the works

Commuter bus service between WSU and the University of Idaho likely will continue to operate for another year after UI got agreements to help with its share of the funding from its students and the city of Moscow.

The agreement “hasn’t been put in writing,” Moscow Transportation Commission Chairman Walter Steed told the Moscow-Pullman Daily News newspaper. “But I wouldn’t call it tentative,” he said. “It’s going to happen.”

Steed wouldn’t say how much of UI’s $100,000 subsidy would be picked up by the Associated Students of UI and the city.

Nothing new was reported concerning funding beyond next year.
