Cougar basketball draws national press focus

The Cougar men’s basketball team has earned the university a ton of media coverage this season — including regular newspaper and television coverage of home and away games.

Currently ranked 9th in the nation, the Coug’s upcoming game against Oregon, has been tabbed as the “Pac-10 Game of the Week” by The Seattle Post Intelligencer. Notes the P-I: “The 9th-ranked Cougars have lost 12 consecutive games to their nemesis, including 77-74 in overtime at home a month ago. Oregon, still ranked 23rd, has dropped six of its past eight games and is ripe for another setback.

On Thursday, Feb. 22, Bud Withers of The Seattle Times, authored “Cougars’ foes deal with a lot of rejection,” see http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/sports/2003583210_coug220.html
