Magic Evening with Dr. Wilderness Show at Beasley Coliseum

PULLMAN, Wash.– As part of the 2006-07 Children’s Series, Beasley Performing Arts Coliseum will present The Dr. Wilderness Show at 7 p.m. Feb. 19.

The Dr. Wilderness Show is an Emmy-award-winning stage magic show. Featuring professional magician Khevin Barnes, the production began as a national television special, airing in prime-time on CBS stations. Over time, the show has evolved into a live multi-media family event combining inspiring commentary, theater, amazing robotics, special effects and magical illusions.

Most audiences remember Barnes as “that guy with the bird,” referring to his co-star Socrates the Toucan, perhaps the most sophisticated animatronic bird ever created. Designed and engineered by Animal Makers Inc. the computerized robotic side-kick is the centerpiece of a high-tech performance which includes surround-sound music, digital video displays, audience participation and, of course, the inter-active shenanigans of Socrates.

The Audubon Society calls Barnes Americas’ premiere environmental magician and he was voted Best Family Entertainer by the Pacific Coast Association of Magicians.

Tickets are $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for children 13 and under. Tickets can be purchased at the Beasley Coliseum, online at TicketsWest or at TicketsWest outlets, including the Cougar Depot and the University of Idaho Information Center. For ticket information, call (509) 335-1514 or visit https://beasley.wsu.edu/.
