SRC offers class on first aid for the outdoors

Pullman–Outdoor enthusiasts can learn wilderness first aid and how to prevent illness through the Wilderness First Aid Course at the Student Recreation Center.

The two day course will be held Feb. 10 -11, offering both classroom instruction and participation in practical scenarios. This class can also be taken as a recertification course for Wilderness First Responder.

Participants will learn injury and illness prevention, patient assessment, long-term injury management and improvised splint and litter construction as well as how to handle environmental emergencies.
