Free WSU Museum of Art Jazz Concert Slated for Nov. 30

PULLMAN, Wash. – The Museum of Art at Washington State University will present a “Jazz of the ‘50s and ‘60s Concert” featuring the Kelvin Monroe Fotet at 7 p.m. Nov. 30. The event is free and open to the public.

A doctoral student in Rhetoric and Jazz Music with the WSU Department of Comparative Ethnic Studies, Kelvin Monroe heads up the lively group on piano. Other members of the quartet are Horace Alexander Young, assistant professor for the WSU School of Music and Theater Arts, on piano; Jake Burton on drums; and Frederick Dave Snider, instructor at the WSU School of Music and Theater Arts, on bass.

Funding for museum exhibitions and programs has been provided by the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation, the Visual, Performing and Literary Arts Committee (VPLAC), Washington State Arts Commission and the Friends of the Museum of Art.
