Hunger week comes to campus

National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, Nov. 13-18, will kick off at WSU with a message from Steve Gleason, New Orleans Saints football player and former WSU football player, followed by a panel discussion by faculty and students who have expertise with issues of hunger, homelessness and the Katrina rebuilding efforts. The forum will begin at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 13, in Todd 230.

Food drives will be held throughout the week for local agencies, including a Fast 4 Katrina Relief. All groups are welcome to participate.

At the Apple Cup a Cougars United donation for Hurricane Katrina victims will be taken. The funds will go directly to Helping Hands and food banks in New Orleans.
