PULLMAN – The Museum of Art at Washington State University will present WSU Professor of English and Director of Undergraduate Studies, Paul Brians’ lecture “Art of the Counter Culture” at 7 p.m. Nov. 2 in the Fine Arts Center Auditorium. The event will be free and open to the public.
Brians’ lecture will concentrate on the imagery and events associated with the student movements on the WSU campus from 1968-1972. Included in the lecture will be many rarely-seen images that depict a very different Pullman than most are familiar with today. As a young faculty member, Brians was an active participant in many of the events that he will be discussing.
Funding for museum exhibitions and programs has been provided by the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation, the Visual, Performing and Literary Arts Committee (VPLAC), Washington State Arts Commission and the Friends of the Museum of Art.
