New chancellor meets WSU Tri-Cities faculty, staff

Two years ago, Vicky Carwein packed her academic bags and left the University of Washington Tacoma campus to become president of Westfield State College in Massachusetts. “At the going away event, I said I would never (again) have a job like that one — where I worked with faculty, staff, students and the outside community to build up a university… I was wrong.”

On Wednesday, June 22, Carwein visited Washington State University Tri-Cities, where she’ll take over as chancellor later this summer.
