Golden, Diamond Grads tour campus, share stories

Golden and Diamond Grads are on the WSU campus this week touring facilities, dining with faculty and staff and reminiscing about the days of old at WSU.

While at Ferdinand’s, Roy and Patti Pellerin, Class of 1956, said the things they missed most about WSU were the sports and the closeness of the community.  They also noted that the buildings and equipment had changed dramatically since they first attended WSU in 1952.

Donna Gillis, Class of 1956, shared about her WSU experiences and those of family members who also attended WSU as she toured the Student Recreation Center in her wheelchair.

Gillis, noting the correlation between the reunion and the end of the semester, asked, “Is it ‘dead week’ because old people are here?”

The grads will be on campus through April 27.
