WSU Tri-Cities Hosts Annual Spring Career Information Day March 29

TRI-CITIES, Wash. — Washington State University Tri-Cities invites employers, alumni and current college students –  both graduate and undergraduate – to participate in the 6th annual Career Information Day March 29.

The public is also invited to attend the event, which will be held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Consolidated Information Center (Libraries complex) on the WSU Tri-Cities campus.

Nearly 50 companies will send representatives to campus for this annual event. “This is the largest and most diverse group of employers that we have yet hosted for a Career Information Day,” said Marjorie Seipt, career services manager at the campus.

“Invitations have also been extended to students at all colleges in the region. We want college students to have every opportunity to learn what is out there in the way of jobs. They need to explore how they might use their degree after graduation or how they can improve upon their current employment situation,” she said.  “A college degree does not equal a career or a job. This is an outstanding opportunity to broaden horizons and do some of that all-important networking.”

Nearly three dozen undergraduate and graduate degrees are currently granted at WSU Tri-Cities. They include programs in the Colleges of Business, Engineering and Computer Science, Education, Liberals Arts, Agriculture and Home Economics, Nursing and College of Science.

Employer participation is by advanced registration. For more information, contact Marjorie Seipt at 509/372-7351 or mseipt@tricity.wsu.edu.
