The Board of Regents of Washington State University will be asked to approve schematic design documents for the WSU Intercollegiate College of Nursing building when the board meets at 9 a.m. Friday, Jan. 27, in Room 405 of the Lighty Student Services Building on the Pullman campus.
The agenda for the meeting is available at https://www.regents.wsu.edu/Agendas-Notices/060127Agenda.doc.
The five-story building will include a nursing practice lab, distance education classrooms and seminar rooms, a computer lab, a research lab and clinic, administrative and faculty offices and educational technology and information services facilities. It will be built on the corner of Riverpoint and Spokane Falls boulevards on the WSU Spokane campus.
In other action, the board will be asked to change the name of the College of Business and Economics to the College of Business. In July 2005, the economics department moved from the College of Business and Economics to the College of Agricultural, Human and Natural Resource Sciences.
The board also will consider renaming two agricultural research facilities:
the Cunningham Agronomy Farm, which is located northeast of Pullman, and WSU Farm 5 in Puyallup.
Also on the agenda is a proposal to purchase the Student Book Corporation building at WSU Vancouver for the appraised value of $1.1 million.
Committees of the board will meet Thursday in the Lighty Student Services Center.
