Oil, mixed-media, collage art at WSU Vancouver

Two art exhibits open this month at WSU Vancouver and run through mid- and late-February.

“Vital Elements,” a collection of oil and mixed-media work from Oregon artist Serena Barton, will be on display through Feb. 27 at the Student Services Building gallery. Barton’s show is inspired by the art, culture and light of Italy and by the work and lives of Italian women artists of the past. Visit https://www.serenabarton.com for more information about the artist.

A group exhibition from the Collage-a-matics art class, curated by instructor Linda Sawaya, will show in the Engineering Life Sciences Building through Feb. 17. The exhibit represents works by 14 student artists. Visit https://www.lindasawaya.com for more information about the artist or classes.

Entry to campus exhibits is free. WSU Vancouver galleries are open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday.
