WSU Business College Welcomes Grubb & Ellis’s Maureen Ehrenberg as DeYoung Executive-in-Residence

PULLMAN, Wash.— Maureen Ehrenberg, executive vice president of Grubb & Ellis, will visit the Washington State University campus Jan. 25 as the DeYoung Executive-in-Residence in the College of Business and Economics.

Her public address, “Dynamic Business Trends in Commercial Real Estate,” will be at 4:30 p.m. in the Smith Center for Undergraduate Education room 203, and follows meetings during the day with several business classes and student groups in Todd Hall.

Grubb & Ellis is one of the world’s leading providers of integrated real estate services.

Ehrenberg is president of Global Client Services as well as president and chief executive officer of Grubb & Ellis Management Services Inc. She is responsible for the growth and strategic direction of Global Client Services, which includes the Corporate Services Group, and Institutional Investment Group, Grubb & Ellis Management Services Inc., G&E Affiliates Inc., and Grubb & Ellis Company’s Global Alliance with Knight Frank. Her support team includes professional engineers, project managers, accountants, consultants and financial analysts who support Grubb & Ellis field offices and clients.

The program series was begun in 1973 to bring to campus prominent business leaders who meet with students and deliver public addresses. Support for the program is provided by the Dennis DeYoung family. DeYoung, a 1968 graduate of the college’s Hospitality Business Management program, is a partner in Grand Slam Licensing, Inc., in Woodinville. He received the prestigious Alumni Achievement Award from WSU in 1990.

Ehrenberg joined Grubb & Ellis Management Services Inc. in 1997 as its central region president. She was named national president overseeing all leasing, management, and construction in 1998. In 2004, she became president of Global Client Services in charge of several of the company’s key business lines, working from its Northbrook, Ill. headquarters.

Her previous employment was as regional vice president for Premisys Real Estate Services Inc., a subsidiary of The Prudential Insurance Company of America. She was also a regional vice president for First Office Management, a subsidiary of Sam Zell’s Equity Group, and also held positions with Rubloff, Inc. and with Balcor/American Express.

She is a fellow of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a member of Counselors of Real Estate. She is a licensed real estate broker in Illinois and has done graduate-level research in international economics at The City University in London, England, where she completed her B.S. with joint honors in economics and accounting.
