WSU Vancouver begins first freshman admission process

VANCOUVER — Washington State University Vancouver has begun offering admission to the first class of freshmen in the campus’ history.
Students will start in fall 2006.

WSU Vancouver has offered admission to over 20 freshmen for fall through the early admission process.

Applications are still being reviewed, with a priority deadline for admission of Jan. 31, 2006.

“We are excited about the quality and diversity of the students who are showing an interest in our campus,” said Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, Nancy Youlden. “I think students are realizing the tremendous quality and value our WSU campus has to offer.”

The incoming freshmen to WSU Vancouver appear to be a highly qualified group. Applicants’ GPAs range from 3.22 to 3.95. Business, education and mechanical engineering programs are the areas of preference among the new students.

With the addition of the new programs, WSU Vancouver has expanded their degree programs to high school graduates who are looking for the education, prestige and reputation of a Washington State University degree.
