Family Time. Parents trying to buy Christmas gifts within a budget and give their children meaningful presents at the same time have an option that is sometimes forgotten: children’s books.

Kelley can help parents navigate through Web sites listing award-wining books for children. “Sometimes we tend to buy what we liked as children even though the message in the book might be old-fashioned,” she said. ”There are many new books today that children can enjoy and understand.”
