Award-winning Author to Give Reading Nov. 10

PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State University’s Department of English will conclude its fall Visiting Writer Series Nov. 10 with novelist and memoirist Valerie Miner.

Miner, faculty member at Stanford University, is an award-winning author of 12 books of fiction and non-fiction, including “Range of Light,” “Blood Sisters” and “The Low Road: A Scottish Family Memoir,” which was a finalist for the PEN USA Creative Non-fiction Award. Her work has appeared widely on the BBC and in such journals as the Georgia Review, The Village Voice and The Nation.

The reading is at 7:30 p.m. in the Museum of Art/WSU.  A reception and booksigning will follow.  The reading is sponsored by the WSU Department of English and the WSU Museum of Art.
