TRI-CITIES, Wash. — Twentyfive Washington State University Tri-Cities students will be honored at noon Friday (Oct. 28) in the Consolidated Information Center of the North Richland campus.
The honorees, recipients of community and business scholarships, will be recognized by the university and the scholarships’ sponsors at the luncheon.
“This is a special event where we honor students receiving scholarships and thank the donors for their generosity,” said WSU Tri-Cities Director of Community Outreach LoAnn Ayers. “And it’s nice that so many of the scholarship sponsors will be here to make presentations to the students they’re supporting.”
Information on how to apply is available from the Student Services Office at (509) 3727250.
Scholarship sponsors include the Max E. Benitiz, Kenneth L. Young, Carl Zanger and Herbert Parker Memorial Endowments, the BentonFranklin Reading Council, the James A. Cochran Endowment, the American Association of University Women, Richland Rotary and the Kadlec Medical Center Foundation.
