Radio listeners in the Wenatchee area now have a new option for listening to Northwest Public Radio, the public radio service of Washington State University.
Northwest Public Radio recently added a new translator at 90.3, which carries the network’s NPR News service. Programs heard on the NPR News service include “The Diane Rehm Show,” “Talk of the Nation,” “Marketplace,” “The World” and the BBC World Service.
The cost of the project was about $10,000, said Roger Johnson, station manager for Northwest Public Radio. Contributions to date include $1,000 from the Wenatchee Valley Medical Center. However, Northwest Public Radio is still short of covering the cost of the project, he said.
