Northwest Public Radio adds translator in Wenatchee area

Radio listeners in the Wenatchee area now have a new option for listening to Northwest Public Radio, the public radio service of Washington State University.Northwest Public Radio recently added a new translator at 90.3, which carries the network’s NPR News service. Programs heard on the NPR News service include “The Diane Rehm Show,” “Talk of the Nation,” “Marketplace,” “The World” and the BBC World Service.The cost of the project was about $10,000, said Roger Johnson, station manager for Northwest Public Radio. Drive kicks off 20th year at WSU.

Ten years ago it was $3 million. Five years ago it was $4 million. Last year, the Washington State Combined Fund Drive, CFD, had its highest level of contributions in the program’s history with more than $5 million going to about 1,900 charities last year. Washington State University employees gave $165,473 of it.
