PULLMAN, Wash. – The Washington State University Theatre Program will present four student-written-and-directed one-act plays at the 7th annual STAGE One event, which will run from Oct. 5-8 at Daggy Hall’s Wadleigh Theatre.
All performances will be at 8 p.m. Due to mature subject matter, this program is rated R.
This year’s selections are “Super Hero Zero,” written by Justin Hansen and directed by Joshua Gegen; “Darryl’s,” written by James Katica and directed by Joseph Vales; “A Man Should be More than Clitoral Stimulation,” written by Audrey Bensel and directed by Hope Hans; and “Lasagna Night,” written by Pat McSweeney and directed by Chris Hayes.
“Super Hero Zero” looks at the other side of being super, as three super heroes complain about their abilities, life and fame. “Darryl’s” shows a day in the life of a small-town convenience store — aptly named Darryl’s – which starts out normally, but as the day runs its course, chaos ensues. “A Man Should Be More than Clitoral Stimulation” takes place in the morning after a one-night stand as a one woman questions her actions and displays different facets of her personality. “Lasagna Night” delves into one lasagna dinner in a typical family of four, showing a normal event through the eyes of every member of the family.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $7.50 for seniors and $5 for WSU students with ID. The Daggy Box Office will open for ticket sales from 2-5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, October 4-7 and will open an hour before each performance.
