Tickets Still Available for Radio Host Bill McGlaughlin Live Taping of “Saint Paul Sunday” Sept. 9 at WSU

PULLMAN, Wash. – Tickets are still available to see Bill McGlaughlin, veteran host of “Saint Paul Sunday,” a nationally distributed public radio program on classical music, when he comes to campus Sept. 9 for a live taping of the weekly show.

Northwest Public Radio, the public radio service of Washington State University, will welcome McGlaughlin, who will be joined by WSU’s Solstice Wind Quintet for music and conversation. The program will be recorded for regional broadcast on Northwest Public Radio at a later date.

The event is set for 7:30 p.m. in Bryan Hall Auditorium. Tickets are $12 for the general public, $10 for WSU faculty and staff and $8 for WSU students and are available at all TicketsWest outlets, by phone at (800) 325-SEAT or online at www.beasley.wsu.edu.

McGlaughlin has entertained “Saint Paul Sunday” listeners for 25 years. His knack for presenting performers of the highest level, in a down-to-earth, entertaining manner has kept the audience coming back. The reflective, yet persuasive style he employs with guests gives additional life to the music-making that occurs each week on the show. The program’s combination of outstanding performance and natural conversation provides listeners a glimpse into how music is created at the highest level.

Solstice Wind Quintet musicians include Ryan Hare, bassoon; Gary Plowman, oboe; Jennifer Scriggins, french horn; Anthony Taylor, clarinet; and Ann Yasinitsky on flute.
