PATH Provides Horseback Riding Lessons for People with Disabilities

PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State University’s Palouse Area Therapeutic Horsemanship Program will offer horseback riding lessons to people with physical and mental disabilities Sept. 20 through Oct. 19.

 

PATH, a community service program of the College of Veterinary Medicine, will hold classes at 5:30 and 7 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. The cost is $12 per class or $60 for the five-week session. Program volunteers are also needed. There will be an orientation meeting from 6-7:30 p.m. Sept. 7 in the Animal Disease Biotechnology Facility, Room 1002, for those who would like to participate. A training session will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Sept. 8 at the stable. Both meetings are mandatory for all new volunteers. Everybody is welcome. No experience is necessary.
