Cougar Day at Silverwood scheduled for July 23

PULLMAN — Washington State University alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends will gather July 23 in Athol, Idaho, for Cougar Day at Silverwood Theme Park and Boulder Beach Water Park, presented by the WSU Alumni Association.

The Alumni Association will offer discounted tickets at $20 for general admission, $12 for children ages 3-7 and seniors 65 and over; Children 2 and under are free. The event is open to the public, regardless of WSU affiliation. An optional barbecue dinner, catered by Longhorn Barbecue, will be offered at $12 for adults and $6 for children and seniors; Children 2 and under eat free. The meal will include barbecued pork and turkey and free soft drink refills throughout the park all day.

The WSU Cougar mascot, Butch, will be in attendance. WSU spirit items and picture opportunities with Butch will be available. More than 300 people participated in the 2004 Cougar Day at Silverwood, and similar numbers are expected this year.
