ABC tentatively set to air grizzly research Thursday

A cameraman with ABC’s Good Morning America TV show gets up close and personal with one of WSU’s grizzly bears at the Bear Research Facility on the east side of campus Thursday morning, April 14.

A crew from the show filmed the bears and cubs, which are part of WSU’s Bear Research, Education and Conservation Program. The cubs’ birth has made news this spring, as has the heart research WSU is conducting with the bears’ help.

A story featuring the grizzly bear research at Washington State University is tentatively scheduled to air on Good Morning America Thursday, April 21. The weekday program runs from 7 to 9 a.m. on ABC affiliates throughout the country.

There is also the possibility a story on the bears will air on World News Tonight with Peter Jennings.
