‘Super Size Me’ at WSU Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Riverpoint Campus Wellness Collaborative is showing the award-winning and critically acclaimed documentary “Super Size Me” in two installments from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 21 and Friday, April 22.

The film will be shown at Washington State University Phase I Classroom Building Auditorium, 668 N. Riverpoint Blvd., Spokane.

“Consumers need to be aware of how food choices are impacting their health,” said Janet Beary, clinical assistant professor of nutrition in the undergraduate exercise physiology and metabolism program at WSU Spokane. “People need to be informed about available fast foods to make healthy choices.”

The public can visit the Riverpoint campus for this free, two-day showing of the movie that has brought American portion sizes and obesity to the public’s attention. Discussions will be moderated by Beary, who is a registered dietitian. Metered parking is available on campus.
