“The extremely saturated clay soils at the ponds will become hardpan if dug with this much moisture content. We could do more harm to the site than improvement, and that is not a wise use of volunteer time. Once the site has dried out for a week or so, we will try again,“ said Bobbie Ryder, Cougar Pride Days committee member, explaining the postponement.
