Cancer Center Gets Acting Director

PULLMAN, Wash. — Daniel Campbell has been appointed acting director of the Washington State University Cancer Prevention and Research Center during the sabbatical of Gary Meadows, who will return as CPRC director Sept. 1.

Campbell, who has been with the CPRC since 2001, also will continue his duties as assistant director during this time.

CPRC is a multidisciplinary, multi-institutional center based at WSU that focuses on identification, development and coordination of basic and clinical cancer related research projects throughout the region. As the focal point for cancer research at WSU, the CPRC also conducts cancer outreach and education programs.

Meadows, a pharmaceutical sciences professor and cancer researcher, has been CPRC director since 1998.
