The competition, sponsored by the by the Edward R. Murrow School of Communication at WSU, will select winners in five categories: news writing, feature writing, sports writing, photography and best overall edition. Judging will be done by WSU faculty, staff and communication students.
High school journalism students are encouraged to submit their best student newspaper work from the 2004-05 academic year.
Winners of the competition, along with their faculty advisers, will be announced during the April 13 Murrow Symposium, which will feature a full day of workshops and seminars for high school and college students, led by working journalists and leaders in the communication field.
