WSU Women Called to Act

PULLMAN, Wash. — Auditions for the Washington State University benefit production of “The Vagina Monologues” will be at 6 p.m. Nov. 8 and 9 in the Compton Union Building, Room 224, and is open to all WSU women.

An award winning play by Eve Ensler, “The Vagina Monologues” celebrates women’s sexuality and strength by exposing the violations that women endure throughout the world. The play is based on Ensler’s personal experience with violence and her interviews with more than 200 women.

The show will be presented on the Pullman campus Feb. 25-27 in conjunction with the V-Day College Campaign. College and university communities around the world present benefit productions of “The Vagina Monologues” on their campuses on or around V-Day (Feb. 14) to raise money and awareness to stop violence against women and girls.

All women are encouraged to audition; no acting experience or preparation is required. For more information about auditions or the production, contact event organizer Diane Curewitz at (509) 335-7472 or e-mail to vdaywsu@wsu.edu.
