C-SPAN School Bus to Visit Pullman Campus

PULLMAN, Wash. — The C-SPAN School Bus continues its trek around the country with a visit to Pullman on Friday (Sept. 17). The bus will be parked on Library Road at the end of Glenn Terrell Mall on the WSU campus from about 10-11:30 a.m.

During the visit, the bus will be available for tours and presentations and will give students an inside look at the 2004 presidential campaign. Adelphia is sponsoring the visit as part of its ongoing commitment to education and public service.

The C-SPAN School Bus is a 45-foot, traveling TV production studio and media demonstration center, specially outfitted with television equipment, video monitors and computers. Half of the bus serves as a mobile classroom while the other half functions as a working production studio and interview set.

During this visit, the C-SPAN staff will provide tours and demonstrations of the bus. Also, C-SPAN representatives will lecture on the current campaign and the media’s impact on the political process in Tetyana Lysak’s American Public Policy class from 10:10 to 11 a.m. Todd Hall, Room 434.

C-SPAN, the political network of record, was created as a non-profit company by America’s cable television companies as a public service. C-SPAN is available to more than 88 million households nationwide while C-SPAN2 reaches more than 74 million households.
