PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State University will present the Steptoe Bluegrass Band and a pair of movies next week (July 5-7) as part of Campus Involvement’s summer entertainment.
The Steptoe Bluegrass Band will perform from noon to 1p.m. Wednesday, July 7. Husband-and-wife band members Von Walden and Tina Hilding have played music together for nearly 20 years, Walden on guitar and banjo and Hilding on stand-up bass. Pining for bluegrass when they moved to Moscow four years ago, the pair joined Paul Hill and Paul Anders, both fiddle and mandolin players, to form Steptoe. University Catering will sell food at the event. In case of rain, the concert will move to the Compton Union Building Lair.
