VANCOUVER, Wash. — A Portland-based architect and founder of the “City Repair Project,” Mark Lakeman will speak at Washington State University Vancouver April 13 about the history and vision of the City Repair Project, which is working to revitalize the Portland urban landscape by “re-asserting localized village patterns in the city grid.”
Speaking from noon to 1:15 p.m. in the Multimedia building, room 22, Lakeman will be joined by Ross Bennett, a forest and civil rights activist, and member of the green building crew at Dignity Village, Portland’s alternative self-governing community for otherwise unhoused citizens.
