WSU Board of Regents to Meet in Spokane

The Board of Regents of Washington State University will hold its regularly scheduled meeting at 9 a.m. March 12 at the Spokane Intercollegiate Research and Technology Institute (SIRTI) Boardroom 432, at 665 North Riverpoint Blvd.

Action items on the board’s agenda include a schedule of changes to parking rates and fines for the Pullman campus and design plans for several building projects.

Also on the agenda is WSU’s proposed participation in a restructured agreement to operate consolidated Emergency 911 and dispatch services. A board made up of representatives from Whitman County, the city of Pullman and WSU would govern the agency. The regents also will consider a proposal to dissolve the Student Government Council, which had been jointly created by the individual student governments on WSU’s four campuses. The individual student governments have agreed to a new working document to address common issues.

Committees of the Board of Regents will meet Thursday at SIRTI; regents also will tour the Spokane campus.

The meeting agenda is available at http://www.regents.wsu.edu/3-12-agenda.doc.
