Dean elected treasurer of national pharmacy society

William E. Fassett, dean of the College of Pharmacy at Washington State University, recently was elected to a two-year term as treasurer of the American Society for Pharmacy Law.

Fassett will be installed to the office March 27 at the society’s annual meeting in Seattle, Wash. His term lasts until spring 2006.

The American Society for Pharmacy Law is a national society of pharmacists and attorneys interested in law related to pharmacy practice and the pharmaceutical industry. It supports research and educational programs related to pharmacy law.

Dean of the college since July 1999, Fassett is also a faculty member teaching pharmacy law. He first joined the society’s board in the spring of 2002.
