PULLMAN, Wash. — The Washington State University School of Music and Theatre Arts will present John Guare’s award-winning play, “Six Degrees of Separation,” from Feb. 11 through Feb.14 in Daggy Hall’s Jones Theatre.
Tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for senior citizens, $4 for students and free for graduate students with ID and their spouses. The play will run at 8 p.m. from Feb. 11 to Feb. 14, with a 2 p.m. matinee Feb. 14. Tickets can be reserved by calling the Daggy Hall Box Office at (509) 335-7236. This play deals with adult subject matter and is not appropriate for children.
It is said that only six people separate everybody on the planet. “Six Degrees of Separation” tells the story of a college-age African-American male who pretends to be the son of the famous actor Sidney Poitier to gain access to posh New Yorker art dealers.
Guare’s witty, identity-bending social satire examines the attitudes of the rich and homeless, as well as family relationships and race. The theatrical puzzle is the winner of a New York Drama Critics Circle Award, a Hull-Warriner Award and the Obie Award for best play.
