WSU Press plans holiday book fair

The Washington State University Press will host its 12th annual holiday book fair 11:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, on the second floor of the CUB. WSU Press publishes scholarly books with a cultural or historical relationship to the Pacific Northwest.

Two authors will sign books from noon to 2 p.m. J. Kingston Pierce is author of “Eccentric Seattle: Pillars and Pariahs Who Made the City Not Such a Boring Place After All,” and Jim Fredrickson is author of “Railscapes: A Northern Pacific Brasspounder’s Album.”

The book fair is the only time each year that every WSU Press book is available to the local community at a discount of 20-50 percent. Patrons can also win free books, enjoy complimentary refreshments and receive free gift cards, postcards and bookmarks. The Bookie will also offer discounts on WSU Press books all day.
