The Student Washington Education Association (SWEA) is holding a Scholastic book fair on the 2nd floor of Cleveland Hall from Feb. 18-27.
The fair runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, for the purpose of giving students in the teacher preparation program the opportunity to build their classroom libraries.
The fair offers a wide selection of childrens books and young adult novels. All books are buy one, get one free.

WSU Press will host its 14th annual Holiday Book Fair 11:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, on the second floor of the CUB. WSU Press publishes scholarly books with a cultural or historical relationship to the Pacific Northwest.The fair is the only time each year that every WSU Press book is available to the local community at discounts of 20-50 percent. Washington State University College of Education faculty, staff, and students have arranged three ways to fill Backpacks for Hope with age-appropriate children’s books.Backpacks for Hope is a WSU effort to collect backpacks filled with school supplies to aid some of the estimated 250,000 children displaced by Hurricane Katrina.Dawn Shinew, associate professor in the college, said there are three ways to participate.The first is to purchase books at the College of Education Book Fair.
